The dining hall facility of the Accra Girls’ Senior High School (SHS) has been used as a quarantine centre to isolate students suspected to have Covid-19.
This comes after 55 students of the school tested positive for Covid-19.
In an interaction with ABC News, parents of the affected students confirmed that, since Sunday their wards have been confined at school’s dining hall to observe a mandatory quarantine and efforts to reach the school authorities have proved futile.
The parents lamented that the Headmistress promised to respond to their concerns today however, her phone has been off the whole day.
The worried parents told ABC News they want the authorities to be open and transparent with them – they want to know the condition of their wards; whether they have tested positive or not.
